HOW TO PLAY

Objective

Your objective is to rearrange the tiles on the grid and form a complete and perfect gradient across the board.

There's no winning or losing - just aim for the best time in the fewest moves.

Locked corners

Two opposite corners are locked in place, and define the start and end colours of the finished gradient.

Drag to swap

Drag any tile onto another to swap their two positions. Keep going until every colour sits where it belongs.

Tap to swap

Prefer tapping? Tap a tile to select it, then tap another to swap them. Tap it again to deselect.

Successful placement

A successfully placed tile will pulse and chime, and a dot appears to show it's correctly positioned.

Tip: corners first

Work from the corners inwards. The edges blend between two known colours, so they're easiest to read; fill the middle once the borders are set.

The short version

Huedle is a free daily colour puzzle made by NewBlankPage, offered as-is for you to enjoy. By playing, you agree to these terms. They exist mainly to keep the leaderboards fair and to be clear that the game is a work in progress with no guarantees.

It's free, and it's a beta

Huedle is provided free of charge and is still in active development. Features, puzzles, and scoring may change, and we may occasionally need to reset scores, leaderboards, or accounts as the game evolves. We'll avoid this where we can, but during beta you shouldn't treat your progress or standings as permanent.

Playing fair

Please play the game as intended. Don't cheat, automate play, submit scores you didn't genuinely earn, scrape or hammer the site, try to break or overload it, or interfere with other players' experience. Choose a username that isn't offensive, impersonating, or misleading. We may remove scores, usernames, or accounts that break these rules.

Your account & username

You don't need an account to play. If you set a username or link a Google account, you're responsible for keeping that access secure. Your username and completed results may be shown publicly on the leaderboards. You can ask us to remove your account and data at any time — see our privacy policy for how.

Feedback

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them freely to improve the game, without any obligation to you. Please don't include anything confidential or anything that isn't yours to share.

The game itself

Huedle, its name, design, and puzzles belong to NewBlankPage. You're welcome to play and to share your results, but please don't copy, resell, or pass the game off as your own.

No warranty

Huedle is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time. We may change, pause, or discontinue the game or any of its features at any time.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) the game — including lost progress, scores, or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you use the game from elsewhere, you're responsible for complying with your local laws.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game develops. When we do, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
